We visited this home and took the tour, when you stand on the porch you view the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.  There are 2,650 acres of protected land around the home with walking trails.  The decor inside reflects the estate as it was in the 1820's, very cool stuff.

The Exchange Hotel became the Gordonsville Receiving Hospital during the Civil War.  Some say the hotel is a hot spot for paranormal activity, every year for a few weekends approaching Halloween they hold a ScareFest, how fun.

Dickson-Williams Mansion Tour Greenville TN

Catherine's father built this home for her after she completed her schooling in the east.  Construction began in 1818 and was completed in 1823.  Most of the furnishings were purchased by Catherine and remain in the house.  The house has 3 stories and a basement.  The upper most floor was for a ballroom.  Many presidents and David Crockett who was born in the area visited the home. 

Andrew Johnson 17th President Greenville TN

 These two pictures are from the National Cemetery where Andrew Johnson and his family were been buried.  It was above town the views were astounding.

We toured Andrew Johnson's home.  He became the 17th president after President Lincoln was shot.  He supported the constitution throughout his life and his decisions were based on reserving individual rights.
